Many people assume that manufacturers of popular brands, such as Dyson, make the best vacuum cleaners. However, when the biggest brand names produce a wide range of vacuum cleaners at all price points, which is the best one for you?

Cleaning Power
Everyone wants to a vacuum cleaner that cleans well. This is decided by the amps rating. Bag less or Not

And as not every vacuum cleaner has an obvious indicator showing when the bag needs replacing, your vacuum cleaner may be operating on less than optimal performance without you knowing. In contrast the bag less cyclonic system, such as that used by all Dyson vacuum cleaners, means that there is no loss of suction. The dirt is simply sucked into a canister. This is wonderful because you have the added reassurance of seeing the canister fill with the dust and dirt as it comes out of your carpets.
Furthermore, if you choose the bag less option, you do not have the extra expense of buying vacuum bags. If you don’t think this is a significant point, consider this. Dyson was not the first manufacturer to discover the bag less technology! However Hoover admitted that they did not pursuer the technology because they were making too much money from selling bags!

Filter Type
All vacuum cleaners are fitted with filters these days. However, the best vacuum cleaners are fitted with filters that improve the air quality do that the air expelled is actually purer than the air sucked in! The best system is probably the High Efficiency Particle Air (HPEA) filter used in upright vacuum cleaners, such as the Dyson DC07. The downside of the HPEA is that the resultant vacuum may be a little bit more expensive than lesser models using a low-end filter.
Dyson vacuum cleaners have been endorsed by the British Allergy Association. These vacuum cleaners significantly lower the concentration of allergens, such as pollen and microscopic particles as they clean. This makes Dyson vacuum cleaners the best on the market.

The Dyson DC14 range of products are upright vacuum cleaners. The original model was initially designed for homes with carpets rather than hard floors, because there was no brush control function on the original model. However, as the range was updated and improved, features were added.

The Dyson DC14 All Floors model is designed for exactly that. It has a brush control feature which means that at the flick of a foot operated pedal the brush bars, used to such efficient effect on hard floors, can be lifted. Some DC14 models use the standard filtration system, rather than the HPEA (High Efficiency Particular Air) Filter, used in other Dyson vacuum cleaners. This means that they do not remove pollen and dust mites from the air so efficiently. However, the Dyson, DC14 SL-ANI Animal and DC14 Allergy models do use the HPEA technology and for this reason are the better choices for anyone suffering from allergies.

Because the Dyson DC14 is an upright model, the body is mounted on a fixed wheel base. This works very efficiently in the forward and backward direction but can be difficult to turn when moving around objects or into corners. However, all models come with a telescopic reach feature. This is particularly useful when cleaning stairs as even the topmost tread can be cleaned without the need to unplug and plug in again elsewhere.

Some users found that the weight of the DC14 vacuum cleaners was particularly cumbersome. Depending on model type, the weight of the DC14 ranges from 18.52 pounds to a whopping 19 pounds, making it heavier than most vacuum cleaners.
Overall the Dyson DC14 vacuums are very efficient cleaners. Nonetheless, some reviews claim the weight and general size of the DC14 makes it just too big and cumbersome to be useful for a “quick” clean.
