The premiere feature that makes the Dyson DC15 bagless vacuum so ideal for households with pets is its ability to pick up everything from every kind of surface without losing suction.

Normally, most vacuums are okay on straight surfaces, but leave behind traces of dirt in corners or along edges. This upright gets the air spinning so quickly, dirt and debris is literally forced up into the vacuum. This airflow, amazingly enough, is accomplished without the use of belts (one more thing you won’t need to replace).

Most owners, though first shocked at the sticker price, often around $600 are impressed with its features and its ability to clean an area that previously didn’t even look dirty. Its various powered brushes make it possible to also pick up hair from upholstery and stairs. Owners have also noted that it is quieter than many of the Dyson predecessors. Additionally, its canister is clear, so it’s easy to gage whether it needs to be emptied.

Though not inexpensive, owners have called it a “lifelong” vacuum as the Dyson DC15 comes equipped to handle just about anything, requires no replacement bags, filters, or belts and can stand up to just about anything the owner throws in its path.

James Dyson revolutionized the vacuum cleaner with his Cyclonic technology and bagless vacuum cleaner features. The Dyson DC15 is no exception. Often called The Ball, the Dyson DC15, like its predecessors used Root Cyclone Technology to spin the dust and dirt out of the air. Unlike some of the other Dyson uprights, the Dyson DC15 has many features that make it a top product for anyone with animals. This article will give the reader an overview of the Dyson DC15 and the features that make it ideal for pet owners.

This model has been called by owners “The Mother of All Suckers.” There are essentially two DC15 models, The Ball All Floors and the Ball cyclone Animal which was designed specifically to handle households with pets. As with all Dyson vacuums, the ball feature allows the user to pivot around corners, rather than pushing and pulling or moving things around to get the best angle cleaning. Additionally, the bagless upright, just as its Dyson predecessors does not clog, thanks to the patented cyclonic technology. Though the DC15 sports a HEPA filter like the other Dyson models, it will never require replacement filters. One simply washes the filters out.

Interestingly, Dyson provides a little electronic reminder to keep your filter in optimal condition. You simply go to the website, after cleaning your filter, and click a little button. Once you register, you will receive an email periodically, reminding you to clean the filter. Of course, if you use your vacuum more frequently, you may have to wash your filter more frequently.
